Dr. Kimmey is Professor Emeritus, Health Management and Policy, at St. Louis University’s College for Public Health and Social Justice. He also serves on national, state, and local boards and advisory committees that address health care and educational issues. From 2001 until 2011, Dr. Kimmey was President and CEO of the Missouri Foundation for Health, Missouri’s largest health foundation and one of the top 50 foundations in the United States. The foundation works to improve the health of the residents of the region, paying particular attention to the health needs of the underserved. For 14 years before joining the foundation, Dr. Kimmey was a key member of the Saint Louis University administration, first as Director of its Center for Health Services Education and Research and founding Dean of the School of Public Health. From 1993 to 1998, he was Vice President for Health Sciences. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Saint Louis University from 1998 until September 2000.Dr. Kimmey earned his BS, MS, and MD degrees from the University of Wisconsin and his MPH from the University of California at Berkeley.Dr. Kimmey joined the Board of Directors in 2012. He is a member of the Policy and Communications and the Strategic Planning Committees and he chairs the Development and Personnel Committees.
