Christen Linke Young serves as the Principal Deputy Director of the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight, where she focuses on expanding Americans’ access to health coverage and implementing the Affordable Care Act’s insurance market reforms.
She has supported implementation of the Affordable Care Act in a variety of roles across the federal government, including as Senior Policy Advisor for Health in the White House Domestic Policy Council and as Director of Coverage Policy in the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Health Reform. Ms. Young also served as Associate Policy Director on President Obama’s re-election campaign, where she advised the campaign on health and other domestic policy issues.

Ms. Young holds a BS from Stanford University and a JD from Yale Law School.
