Mary Hunt has worked as a Navigator with Family & Children’s Service in Nashville, Tennessee since OE1. Her educational background, a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis on Medical Sociology, as well as her work experience with the State of Tennessee as a case manager for families receiving SNAP and Tenncare/Medicaid benefits has informed her work on the front lines of enrollment and promotion of the Affordable Care Act. These experiences mean that she has spent many hours face to face with those who face the biggest barriers to leading healthy lives. This has fueled her passion for making health care access a reality for all. In addition to a passion for social justice, her knowledge of policy has earned her the reputation of being a go-to for complicated Marketplace cases and appeals. In her role as Get Covered TN Program Coordinator, Mary offers technical assistance and support with enrollment troubleshooting to Navigators across the state of Tennessee.
